Beautiful facility if you are in the new building I haven't looked at the older buildings. The new suites upstairs are stunning if you want to have the extra space and an apartment within a facility.

There are 2 premises for Freemasons. I am in the old resident and it poses problems- such as lift often not operational and staff have to manage trolleys via stairs. * air con breaks down every summer * meals are very poor and all residents in both buildings complain- this would have to be the major fault. Carers and nursing staff are EXCELLENT and not acknowledged well enough by management.

Quality of food: Hot meal is served at lunch time. Meals can be eaten in the dining room or if requested in the resident's room. Sometimes residents complain re: quality of meat and that it is difficult to cut. This could be attributed to the residents muscle weakness. Staff ratio: Always a registered nurse on the floor and other carers. Calls are answered promptly. Cleanliness and environment: The facility has recently been renovated; all rooms are quite new with quality furnishings in the common areas as well as the residents room. Rooms and surrounds are very clean, Furnishings are modern and comfortable. Nursing and clinical care: Excellent communication with family and clinical staff. All services are on the premises and carried out when required. Residents activities: Weekly timetables outlining activities are available offering many varied activities. It is up to the resident to engage in these, this is in low-level care. Management: All concerns are responded to by the nurse in charge- we often communicate by email
