Benefits

The Retirement Living Code of Conduct seeks to create an accepted standard to help operators provide a trustworthy and high-quality service to those living in, and considering moving to, a retirement community.
Each community operator that signs up to the Code of Conduct commits to standards that govern a resident’s experience moving into, living in and moving out of a retirement community.
The Code is intended to co-exist with relevant state and federal legislation, including all state and territory retirement village laws and regulations, and Australian Consumer Law.
The existing regulatory and legal obligations of Code of Conduct signatories are not replaced or restricted by this Code.
