The North Adelaide Residential Site accommodates 180 residents. Parts of the building are heritage listed and were the original structure of the first Helping Hand Mission. The historic building now encases a modern interior that represents contemporary practices in aged care.

North Adelaide care home is the only residential facility of its kind boasting an exclusive inner city location. Doreen Bond has 3 large and 2 small dining rooms, 3 lounges, 2 sun rooms and 3 sitting rooms. The secure unit incorporates a beautiful interactive garden space, sunrooms and alfresco dining terrace. The non secure area also includes lovely gardens, balconies and landscaped courtyards. Residents are able to access all other facilities and services offered on site, including the community centre, cafe, BBQ area, hair salon, library, chapel, internet cafe and gift shop.

Studio rooms, located in the North Adelaide residential care home, offer a larger room allowing for separate living room space. All rooms have been recently refurbished and are furnished with electric bed, pressure relieving mattresses, televisions, bedside table, built in wardrobes, display shelves, lockable storage and centrally controlled heating/cooling systems.

The rooms has provisions for telephone, television, personal computers and bar fridge. The finish and quality of the rooms are of a high standard.

All rooms are equipped with Nurse Call points, wide doors, large windows, fabric curtains and carpet. Rooms overlook courtyard gardens or street front garden beds.

Rooms are designed with a small selection of furniture to encourage residents to furnish rooms with their own personal affects and pieces. This is to encourage a home like environment as much as possible

Our inner city location places us on the Adelaide City Council Free Connector Bus route, providing easy access to the city and surrounds.
